The objectives of the OCAN are as follow:
- to serve the elderly people to the extent that they are
well informed and able to manage their daily life without
getting out of the house;
- to serve the aged families so that young and middle aged
members of the family are free from the trouble of seeking
informations on aid for elderly care;
- to serve the elderly care facilities in getting in touch
with the elderly individuals and the families;
- to disseminate the knowledge on aging and gradually equip
people of various work with the ability to satisfy the needs
of an aged society;
- to coordinate services and related activities among the
existing providers and organizers.
OCAN serves aged individuals, families, organizations of the
aged persons, for-profit and non-for-profit organizations of
elderly services, related social agencies, related product marketing
agencies, media, administrative agencies for the aged, related
research institutions, and other web sites.
