    The web site www.ocan.com.cn was created by Center for Gerontological Studies at the Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University and Beijing Letianlun Information Consulting Company, Ltd., in July, 2000. 

    The OCAN makes use of the modern information technology to serve the aged population. The ultimate purpose is to initiate various service programs, promote convenient and successful later life among the elderly individuals, raise the level of physical and psychological health, and pursue the quality of life among the elderly persons.
